FAQ
Do you offer videography services?
I do not offer videography services but the following link shares a few names of vendors that I think compliment my style of working, are good people to have around and I have enjoyed working with. https://www.dmpfamilylife.com/blog/videographers/
How do you photograph weddings?
I want your day to be as relaxed and fun as possible and try to be a calming presence on your day. My aim is to let things happen naturally and photograph the events in a journalistic manner . When moments need a little help, I step in with a gentle hand to make sure everyone looks their best or to keep the day on track. Prior to the wedding I spend a day scouting your locations so when its time for formals, I have ideas ready which allows us to be more creative and efficient with our time.
How would you describe your work?
I would describe my work as mix of modern and classic styles. I try to shoot the day as editorially as I can and let things happen naturally. Similarly, I want portraits to be an honest representation of my clients so I try help them relax and interact in a way that looks authentic to their relationship.
Can we customize a package to suit our needs?
Absolutely. I want the process to be as easy as possible for you and ensure you are totally happy with package you choose. Either let me know what you want or we can talk and figure out what makes sense for you.
What if we don't know exactly what package we need?
I understand there are a lot of moving parts and you are not always sure what you want or what a budget will allow. I can help you decide what makes sense for you (without the upsell) or we can secure your day with a smaller package and then add any additional features later if you choose.
What is the 'scouting day' as listed in the packages?
A scouting day is an extra day I spend in advance of your wedding preparing for your day. I drive to all of the locations where we will be taking portraits in order to familiarize my self with the grounds, backdrops, sun direction, etc. This allows me to have ideas ready which allow me to be more creative, efficient with our time, and flexible in the event things don't go exactly to plan. Each day is unique and so I find it best to treat it as such and be as prepared as possible.
Do I need a second photographer?
Every photographer has a different way of working but for me the need is determined by the logistics and timeline of your day. For example if your prep locations are too far apart for me to photograph myself, if the ceremony is in a large church, or if we want reception details but we are taking pictures during cocktail hour. Even in these scenarios its not 'necessary' but they are the the occasions when an additional photographer could be helpful. I am happy to explain more.
When will we receive our photos?
I list in the contract that images will be delivered within 90 days of the wedding date. However this is the absolute latest as most weddings are delivered around 5 weeks. I simply prefer to err on the side of caution as I never want to be in the position where I don't deliver on what I promise.
How many photos will we receive?
For a 8 hours of coverage, you will receive between 400 to 700 fully edited images. I always choose quality rather than quantity and will choose the best images to tell your story.
Are you insured?
Absolutely. If your venue needs a certificate, simply let me know and I will take care of it.
How do we secure our date?
I ask for a $500 deposit and signed contract to secure your day. The remaining balance is due no later than 1 week before the wedding date at your convenience.
Do you offer other types of photo sessions?
Yes. I also offer family and boudoir sessions. Contact me for details if you are interested.
What areas do you serve?
I am a Philadelphia based wedding photographer and serve all regions of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware and Maryland. If you somewhere else in mind, let me know and we will discuss what will be needed to make it happen.
