The Venue

Aldie Mansion is the type of venue many brides dream of. Situated in Doyelstown, it boast the look and feel of an 'English-country estate" with grounds containing beautiful lawns, mature trees, fountains, and terraces.

My Takeaway

It's definitely unique and has a feel about it unlike any other. If you have time, there are plenty of locations to explore and give you a variety of wedding photos. The front entry way is iconic and gorgeous and when you are looking for a wider landscape style shot with the 'bride' and 'groom' somewhere in the photo...this would be my first place to go.

Another favorite spot is the back terrace and steps. If it's not set up with bars and seating this is a great place for pre ceremony photos as it typically has shade and enough space for wedding party photos where ladies dresses and shoes wont get wet or dirty if conditions are less than ideal.

If conditions are cooperating, then I would also suggest venturing down to the lower corner of the property where there is additional shade and a nice courtyard with low walls that look gorgeous in photos. Plus this area is works in almost any type of sunlight.

With almost any wedding, there is never enough time to do all the pictures you want or explore all of the areas available. But the inner staircase should be on your must have list...at least in some degree. Its not what I would call a 'grand' staircase, but it has great light and vantage points that when you see those photos you can instantly identify it as ALDIE MANSION.

And finally the bridal suite. Again distinctly 'Aldie' and offering a balance of elegance and charm. It's not incredibly large so it is advisable to have a modest to moderate size bridal party and you will want to make an effort to keep the space tidy so bags and bottles are not in your photos. Otherwise time will be lost so house keeping can be done.

My Favorite Parts of the day

The couple :) Gorgeous, warm, inviting, energetic and patient.

I loved the confetti pop for the PJ shot in the morning. Never had it done at that part of the day and thought it looked awesome. My concern and hope is that they didn't get an extra fee for room cleaning :(

The prep photos. My 2nd photographer did an awesome job catching the fun and festivities of the groom's morning in a candid and authentic way. I was with the ladies upstairs and I think the lighting in this space looks gorgeous. Plus there were some fun whimsical moments of prep like when the bride's feet were up in the air trying o buckle her shoes and when three girls were working on the bride while she was patiently sitting.

And the grooms shoes. KILLER fashion, lol.
