Micro wedding

Covid continues to be a prick. While I am grateful to still be able to work and celebrate with my couples, it is a challenge to change my way of thinking about weddings as 8-10+ hour events down to what is now about 3 hours. I have to do away with interior lighting tricks of nice window light or pockets of light for drama and rely on pure expression and connection with my subjects. And you know what...I dig it! Too often and too quickly we as artist slip into a rut or become complacent with doing what we know will work. And this isn't a dig at other photographers as I am as guilty as the next because there is a lot of pressure to get the shot right in a limited (rarely enough) time and who can blame a person for not experimenting on trying something new. But that is exactly what Covid has done for me and I am thank full for it. But just this part...Covid is still a prick.
