It really shouldn't be this hard

So over the last year I have been trying different avenues for my wedding photography marketing purposes. I have always used The Knot and for a few years now on Zola. I have tried Instagram ads and Facebook ads but were never happy with the results. This past year I decided to try Google Ads and so far I have had mixed results. But that's marketing. However, my biggest complaint is just how dang hard it is to get set up. They offer "ad experts" to help but that seems to be really only as good as the person they assign. And even still they don't really offer the help as to what key words, phrasing, or type of images will work best. They tell you need to add videos but don't tell you what dimensions those videos should be. It seems they just seem to set up the frame work and leave you to struggle through figuring out how to make it work. It seems like such a strange business model where they don't really care if you have success or not with their product.

Follow up: I had to try elsewhere. I started off with 6 months of really good results and was looking to expand with their services but unfortunately that all dried up. If any one at Google is reading this, I would love to come back but PLEASE find a way to help your advertisers find the success they are looking for. Thanks :)
