National Society of the Colonial Dames of America / Wedding


I approached this day with a soft, documentary sensibility and wanted to capture the refined charm of a wedding at the historic National Society of the Colonial Dames of America. My focus was on genuine emotion and natural interaction rather than heavily posed moments. Quiet anticipation, joyful reactions, and intimate portraits come together to tell the story of the day with authenticity and grace. I leaned into natural window light and the venue’s classic architectural details to create a timeless, romantic backdrop. The aim was to balance candid storytelling with gently guided portraits so the celebration feels both beautifully preserved and polished. The result is imagery that feels calm, emotionally rich, and true to the understated elegance of the venue. As a Philadelphia wedding photographer, I have found few better places in the heart of the city.
